Mackintosh-Inspired Stained Glass Wall Mirror, Green Rose, Art Nouveau

A handcrafted Mackintosh-inspired stained glass wall mirror featuring a sculptural green rose and intricate, hand-shaped leadwork. Individually made in Scotland, this piece honours the richly decorative side of Mackintosh’s art, with its elaborate detail, interwoven curves and rhythmic geometry. Our interpretation embraces that complexity, enriched with original decorative elements that give the mirror its own distinctive character.

Our interpretation takes its inspiration from Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s stained glass doors for the Room de Luxe at Glasgow’s Willow Tea Rooms. The rose is the heart of the composition: flowing, interwoven curves set against slender vertical lines and bold geometric panels.

Mirror surface, coloured glass overlays, lead, soldering and protective patina finish.

🎨 COLOUR AND TEXTURE

A layered palette of olive green, rich amethyst, streaky cream, pink and white is complemented by textured accents. Light catches the varied surfaces and raised leadwork, revealing subtle shifts in colour, depth and reflection throughout the day.

🖌️CRAFTSMANSHIP

Individually handcrafted using our lead overlay stained glass technique, each mirror combines decorative coloured overlays with carefully shaped leadwork, hand-soldered joints and a patina finish.

Fully leaded edges give the mirror a defined outline. A protective backing board and strong picture cord complete the piece, ready to hang.

- 46 × 76 cm — approximately 18.1 × 29.9 inches. This is the size shown in the photographs.

- 61 × 91 cm — approximately 24 × 35.8 inches.

Each mirror is individually handcrafted to order. Custom sizes are also available upon request, from small decorative pieces to large bespoke commissions. Pricing varies according to size, design complexity and delivery destination.

Each mirror is fitted with a strong picture cord on the back and arrives ready to hang. Some pieces can be quite heavy, so please ensure suitable wall fixings are used for your wall type.
